About
I am a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, based in the Psychiatry Neuroimaging Laboratory (PNL) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. My work focuses on developing computational imaging and machine learning methods for large-scale neuroimaging and biomedical data.
I completed my Ph.D. at imec & Ghent University, where I worked under Prof. Wilfried Philips and Prof. Hiep Luong on tensor-based models, hyperspectral imaging, and mobile intelligent photography. My long-term goal is to build robust, data-efficient imaging algorithms that translate into clinically meaningful tools for neuroscience and medicine.
Research
My research lies at the intersection of computational imaging, inverse problems, and machine learning, with applications in hyperspectral imaging, camera pipelines, and neuroimaging.
- Computational Imaging: snapshot spectral imaging (MSFA/SCI), MRI reconstruction, and camera image signal processing for Bayer & non-Bayer sensors.
- Tensor Models & Optimization: low-rank and nonconvex tensor representations, deep unfolding networks, and plug-and-play priors.
- Hyperspectral Imaging & Restoration: denoising, demosaicing, compressive sensing, and diffusion/diffusion-inspired generative models.
- Neuroimaging: quantitative imaging and reconstruction methods for structural and functional MRI, and integration with advanced computational imaging pipelines.

Personal
Outside of research, I enjoy badminton and middle- to long-distance running. I also like exploring how computational imaging ideas can be communicated visually — from camera photography to scientific figures and data stories.
